I am Juliette Potin, an expat coach.<\/strong> I am French and have lived in Italy, Turkey, and the United States, so I know firsthand what it means to reinvent myself after working as an engineer for 15 years. I became the coach I wished I had had to support me through this transition.<\/p>\n

I have always loved living abroad\u2014first in the United States during high school, then in Italy as a student, and later in Turkey at the start of my professional career.<\/p>\n

After 14 years in the manufacturing industry in France, working as a quality manager and project leader\u2014driven by my passion for problem-solving and team management\u2014I followed my husband to the United States for a three-year expatriation.<\/p>\n

From meeting new people to rethinking my career path, from having the time to reflect on my next steps to exploring training and volunteering, I immersed myself in a new culture and discovered a whole new version of myself. It was a unique opportunity to align my lifestyle with my values.<\/p>\n

Since returning to France in 2017, now based in Lyon, I have trained in professional and career coaching and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Since 2019, I have been helping expatriates and expat partners define their career plans, find a job, regain confidence, and adapt to French culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a very visual person. Visualizing & manifesting have become important parts of my daily routines now. Putting my dreams and visions on paper or on a visionboard makes them become more real, at least in my head. Then the magic happens.<\/p>\n

I start to plan, take the first steps, meet the right people. The workshop ‘Find your Ikigai’ by Juliette in Lyon last summer was a real turnaround point for me. During the session I needed to structure my thoughts and values, explain them and at the end of the day I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to work in the holistic field and work with food and sustainability. I didn’t know yet how, but I knew what. And now I have this wonderful feed and I am almost finished with my Institute for Integrative Nutrition course.<\/p>\n

I recently returned to France after 18 years in the US. Such a transition has come with great opportunities but just as many frustrations. I quickly fell into a spiral of negativity and loss of confidence and didn’t know where to turn. Serendipitously, I met Juliette and took part in 3 coaching sessions that turned everything around. Juliette knows just the right questions to ask, has great advice and suggestions, and helped me find myself and a sense of confidence I thought was lost somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. <\/span><\/p>\n

What makes Juliette different than other coaches? The fact that she is French but has spent time as an expat herself in the US made all of our exchanges truly authentic because I knew she really understood my needs. I reached out to Juliette with the goal of finding a job in France after spending many years in the United States. Specifically, I was hoping to secure a teaching position so that I could move my whole family back in time for the next school year. However, I doubted my abilities and had already experienced a previous return to France that was not professionally fulfilling.<\/p>\n

Today, just a few weeks before the end of the  year, I have a job lined up for the new school year\u2014and, more importantly, I have a big dream in mind: launching an eco-friendly event venue. I feel truly empowered<\/strong>; this coaching experience has uncovered talents in me that I hadn\u2019t even realized I had.<\/p>\n

Whenever doubts resurface, I think back to our sessions, which help me take a step back and move forward. Another sign that this coaching has transformed me? I talk about my project to everyone!<\/p>\n
